Bachelor of Applied Science - Health Services Administration
The Health Services Administration area of study is a structured applied completion pathway for students who have completed an allied health Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) and are seeking advancement into coordination, supervision, and administrative roles in healthcare settings. The area of study builds on prior technical preparation by adding upper-division coursework that emphasizes health systems awareness, professional communication in health contexts, and leadership development appropriate to workplace environments. The curriculum is designed to accommodate variation in General Education Requirements (GERs) completed within different allied health A.A.S. programs while maintaining a clear, advising-ready plan to degree completion. Where applicable, the communication studies coursework in this area of study may also support completion of the Certificate in Health Communication. A culminating experience (capstone or internship) integrates applied learning and supports demonstration of the program learning outcomes.
General Degree Requirements
To earn a baccalaureate degree, all students must complete successfully, in addition to any other requirements, the University of Montana General Education Requirements. Please refer to the General Education Requirements page for more information.

Unless otherwise noted in individual program requirements, a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in all work attempted at the University of Montana-Missoula is required for graduation. Please see the Academic Policies and Procedures page for information on how your GPA is calculated.
Courses taken to satisfy the requirements of a major, minor, or certificate program must be completed with a grade of C- or better unless a higher grade is noted in the program requirements.
