Bachelor of Applied Science - Skilled Trades Management
The Skilled Trades Management area of study is a structured applied completion pathway for students who have completed a skilled trades Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) and are preparing for advancement into lead, foreman, superintendent, and operations-facing roles. The area of study honors the technical A.A.S. as the applied foundation and adds upper-division coursework in workforce communication, leadership and supervision, and organizational/economic decision-making relevant to managing people, projects, and resources. Degree planning recognizes that skilled trades A.A.S. programs vary widely in GER coverage, and this area of study is built to accommodate those differences while preserving a coherent and supportable completion model. A culminating experience (capstone or internship) provides an opportunity to apply leadership and management skills to real workplace challenges and demonstrate mastery of the program learning outcomes.
General Degree Requirements
To earn a baccalaureate degree, all students must complete successfully, in addition to any other requirements, the University of Montana General Education Requirements. Please refer to the General Education Requirements page for more information.

Unless otherwise noted in individual program requirements, a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in all work attempted at the University of Montana-Missoula is required for graduation. Please see the Academic Policies and Procedures page for information on how your GPA is calculated.
Courses taken to satisfy the requirements of a major, minor, or certificate program must be completed with a grade of C- or better unless a higher grade is noted in the program requirements.
