The South and South-East Asian Studies program is an interdisciplinary program with faculty input from several departments, including English, Anthropology, Sociology and Political Science. It offers students the opportunity to take classes on South and Southeast Asian peoples, cultures, histories, and societies as well as their literary, artistic and religious traditions. The region includes India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, East Timor, and the Philippines. The primary focus is on India and Indonesia.
