General Graduate Program Requirements

The minimum GPA for any graduate program is 3.0. Individual programs may require more than a 3.0 to remain in good standing. 

The minimum grade for a course to be accepted toward any master’s or doctoral requirement is C. The minimum grade for a course to be accepted toward a certificate program is B-. Individual programs may require higher grades for specific courses.

Complete one 3-credit graduate-level Journalism course.3
Required Public Health Courses:
Complete all of the following courses:
PUBH 510Intro to Epidemiology3
PUBH 540Social & Behavioral Science in Public Health3
PUBH 560Environmental & Rural Health3
Public Health Elective
Complete one additional public health or environmental science or policy elective that advances the student's stated focus.3
Professional Project or Portfolio
Complete one of the following:6
Professional Project
3 graduate-level credits in Journalism (JRNL) and 3 graduate-level credits in Public Health (PUBH) or and approved Public Health elective.
