Cybersecurity Management Graduate Certificate

The Cybersecurity Management Graduate Certificate is designed to provide students with the technical and management skills necessary to work in the cybersecurity field.

Students will use cybersecurity skills as a consultant or as an employee helping an organization to develop and implement a cybersecurity program or respond to security incidents. Students will explore a variety of knowledge areas of cybersecurity management and apply that knowledge in a project in the capstone course.

The curriculum is based on the Core Knowledge Units developed by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Students will gain skills in programming, networking technology & protocols, databases & analytics, probability & statistics, policy, legal, ethics, and compliance, cybersecurity fundamentals & practices, and cybersecurity management & planning.

General Graduate Program Requirements

The minimum GPA for any graduate program is 3.0. Individual programs may require more than a 3.0 to remain in good standing. 

The minimum grade for a course to be accepted toward any master’s or doctoral requirement is C. The minimum grade for a course to be accepted toward a certificate program is B-. Individual programs may require higher grades for specific courses.

Online Program Option

This program may be completed in an online format. Students interested in pursuing an online degree or certificate program are strongly encouraged to contact the offering department to discuss specific program and course modalities and create a plan of study with an academic advisor. The course requirements listed below may not be consistently offered via online delivery.
