- Students the Ecology and Evolution Ph.D program must complete 60 semester credits of graduate-level coursework. As many as 20 may be dissertation (BIOB 699). The other 40 credits may include coursework, graduate seminars, or independent study (BIOB 596).
- Students must complete a research seminar each year after the first.
- Students must complete a dissertation proposal. This is generally completed by the end of their 2nd year.
- Students must complete comprehensive exams, both written and oral. These are generally completed by fall of their 3rd year.
- Students must complete a dissertation.
